Advocating for Improved Access to Essential Breast Care
Women with dense breast tissue need essential, life-saving screenings in addition to mammograms. Essential screenings, such as ultrasounds or MRI's, are the only ways to maximize the chances of finding early, more curable breast cancers in dense tissue. Mammograms alone are not enough.
Often these essential tests are not fully covered by insurance. They come with high out of pocket costs. These costs deny many women access to the lifesaving screenings they need and deserve.
